Mariana Bucio Flores - Soprano
Mariana is a singer/actor specializing in Contemporary Music and Mexican traditional Music.
She has studied and collaborated with remarkable artists and has participated in several masterclasses, workshops and festivals in many countries across the globe. She has performed leading roles in classical and contemporary operas, including several world premieres.
Mariana has performed on important stages as a singer of Mexican vernacular music such as the Zócalo Capitalino, in Mexico City. She also, performed as actress in several contemporary theatre plays, and produced and performed a successful Vernacular Music Program titled Morena del Alma.
She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Music at the Autonomous University of Baja California and her MFA degree in Music Performance at UC San Diego.
She is co-director of the vocal ensemble "Radical Ensemble" in Tijuana, Mexico, and is currently pursuing a DMA in Performance at UC San Diego.
